U.S. Virgin Islands Massage Therapist Must Complete Continuing Education.

The Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs (DLCA) handles issuance and renewal of massage therapists licenses. LMT's must obtain dual clearance, registration, and health permits through Department of Health (DOH) Office of Professional Licensure & Health Planning. Both your massage license and permit are renewed yearly.

License Expiration: (1) year from date of issuance.

Pathway 1: Maintain Active Current Certification From NCBTMB.
Pathway 2: Passage of Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx)

National Certification Alternative:
If NCBTMB board certified, you must fulfill their specific renewal guidelines.
> (24) CE’s every 2 years (including 3 hours of ethics).

ALL LMT's Must Complete:
> (3) CE's In HIV/Aids.
> CE Courses Must Be of Advanced Nature.
> All Courses Can Be Taken Online.
> Use NCBTMB Approved Providers.
