California does NOT license massage therapists.

At a minimum, CALIFORNIA Massage Therapists should seek CAMTC certification. This is what employers, cities, counties, insurers, or spas ask for in California.

GO HIGHER! We suggest you seek NCBTMB board certification, the highest credential within the massage and bodywork profession.

Remember: If you seek licensure as a massage therapist in another state, that massage board will ask you for completion (proof) of continuing education.

To Maintain a NCBTMB Board Certification in California
We Suggest Completion Of:
National Course Package [NCBTMB Approved] = (24) CE's.
